Peanut. 26 November 2001 - 17 February 2006

When we brought him home he fit in a cat carrying bag. Dee called me and said that he had something for me. I heard a puppy playing in the background. I said, "I already know what it is." I said, "you got me a puppy." Dee already had his name picked out. Before Dee left for vacation to KY. I just had my first sonogram of Ryleigh, she was no bigger then a peanut. That is what we called her in the picture. So when he got peanut he had that name stuck in his head. That is how Peanut got his name. He was so spoiled before we had Ryleigh. Peanut knew when it was four o'clock. Every day we went out and played in puppy play group. Peanut was one of the original founders. Before we left Colorado there were over fourteen dogs that came to play every day. Peanut was even there when my water broke. Dee missed it. And before we got back from the hospital he chewed up our brand new futon. He never chewed up a shoe in his life but he did get a $300.00 futon matters. He moved with us to Phoenix. Then he was introduced to Harley. They quickly became best buddies. But that ended the hot dog a day, and the soft food mixed with the dry food, and the the pig ear every morning. They both fought over them to much. One day the exterminator came over and left the back gate open. Peanut and Harley both took advantage of the moment. Someone picked up peanut but Harley was smart and hid behind a bush. Three days later we got a call and peanut was happy to be back. He also got to take a walk with our niece Morgan. It was over 100 degrees and her and peanut got lost. When we found both of them peanut had heat stroke and his paws were burned. But, Harley helped nurse him back to health and he was back to himself. Then we moved to Tucson and Nutty came with us. As a matter of fact he was the first one to take a dip in the pool. I found him hanging on for his life on the edge of the pool. Then we took a trip across the country to our present location. We came close to losing Peanut more then once. But we got him back every time. Peanut was so good with the kids. He let them climb all over him grab his nubby tail pull on his ears and he never had a problem. Peanut the first member of Dee and I's life together. Peanut will always be with us. I felt like a child watching there mom or dad leave without them. When Dee loaded him in the car. I just wanted him to come back. We have a lot of great memories of Peanut. So to our nutty nutty we love you and you will be missed.

That is so sad for Peanut. And sad for Mama Maryanne. But it sounds like Peanut couldn't have had a happier life and family. Lots of love from the mama of 5 girls,2 dogs, one kitty and 2 still alive and thriving hamsters. It doesn't help my mushiness much that I helped "deliver" one dog and the cat. If my shoulder was there you could cry on it.
